The School of CCDT Registration Now Open!

Registration is now open for in-studio classes! Join us for the 2021/2022 school season.

The School of Canadian Contemporary Dance Theatre, one of Canada’s leading dance training centres, was founded in 1983 by Artistic Director, Deborah Lundmark. The school’s expert faculty encourages the natural joy of movement found in every child, providing a unique alternative to competitive-based training.

Encouraging students from a recreational to a pre-professional level, the School’s objective is to foster not only the “thinking dancer” but also the self-directed and physically confident young person.

The school offers dance classes for kids & youth of all kinds, including RAD Ballet, Limón Modern, Jazz, Tap, Musical Theatre and Hip Hop.

The pre-professional program incorporates our resident Company’s vision of strong ballet and modern training, leading to a well-rounded dancer able to perform the work of diverse choreographers, and to succeed in a wide range of post-secondary training opportunities. Summer programs for all different ages and skill levels are also offered.

The School of CCDT is following COVID-19 protocol based on guidelines put in place by the Ontario government to ensure everyone’s health and safety. The School has signed the Ontario Dance and Performing Arts Schools Workplace Guidelines for COVID-19.
