Can you tell us little bit about your company/collective/school?
Jade’s Hip Hop Academy Performance Company (JHHA PC) was established in 2009 with a grant from the Ontario Arts Council. It is the only existing professional youth hip hop dance company in Canada. To date the Company has undertaken more than 300 Shows.

Who are the performers/collaborators in this piece(s)?
Performers for this year’s production consist of seasoned Company members supported by a cast from our preparatory company program.
Can you talk about your creative process? What inspires you?
We loved the movie and the Diversity in our company spans 5 continents so we felt this was a great theme for us to bring to life.
Please share your experience performing in a previous Dance Weekend and/or tell us what you are looking forward to at DanceWeekend’19?
This will be our 8th Dance Weekend presentation. As always we look forward to presenting new themes and showcasing what young professional dancers are capable of.

We’ve performed on the Ellen DeGeneres Show
Do you have any up-coming performances/events you would like to share?
We have been commissioned to create and perform a special Black History Month Half Time show on Feb 11th for the NBA Toronto Raptors at the Scotia Bank Arena
