Jessica will be teaching a virtual tap workshop Saturday July 16 at 11am.
Beginner to experienced tap dancers welcome! This workshop will take a look at familiar foundation steps with a focus on brain fitness and percussion. A new look at a traditional step will be explored in addition to some fun rhythmic body percussion. Register HERE
About Jessica
Jessica has been tap dancing for over four decades. She attended the dance program at Ryerson U. and continued her training at the Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts. After graduation, Jessica danced with the National Tap Dance Company of Canada (1999-2004). Jessica joined What’s On? TAP! Dance Co. in 2004 (Kim Chalovich) and has remained a longtime company member. Jessica played ‘Mavis’ in the toe-tapping show, Stepping Out at the Alumnae Theatre (2016), sharing the stage with an amazing cast of actors. Jessica was on the faculty at Randolph (2002-2010) as well as the faculty in the Performance Art Preparation Program at Sheridan College (2012-2014). Jessica is a sought-after workshop guest having taught for The Eastern Canadian Tap Conference, The Dance Project, Canadian Dance Teachers Association, the Performing Arts Educators of Canada, and Dance Masters of America. Jessica teaches at The Tap Dance Centre and Center Stage School of Dance, in Mississauga.
