CGDA is a dance studio in Findlay Creek, Ottawa and we want to expand our dance family. We are looking for energetic, professional, and organized individuals who are passionate about teaching dance to children of all ages. Positions available for September 2023.

Ballet, Tap & Hip Hop instructors needed!

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Registered or trained RAD teacher preferred for Ballet
  • ADAPT Syllabus knowledge preferred for Tap
  • Experience and interest teaching children of all ages
  • Dance education

Role Responsibilities

  • Ability to teach technique classes from beginner to advanced level
  • Encourage artistic development
  • Develop dance curriculums and prepare lesson plans
  • Ability to communicate with a diverse group of teachers and students
  • Evaluate student performance and make recommendations for improvement
  • Choreograph routines for recitals/performances
  • Prepare students for dance examination, auditions and performances
  • Substitute teach as needed based on availability
  • Conduct group and private lessons as required
  • Provide a fun and creative learning environment
  • Available evenings and weekends
