How has the pandemic shifted your work as a professional dance artist?
The COVID-19 Pandemic upended our world and magnified the existing inequities of society. Cultivation of creativity and imagination is vital as we create hope and resiliency for ourselves and each other. The Pandemic showed us how the world can literally change overnight. Innovation is a gateway to navigate uncertainty and not only survive…to thrive amidst life’s challenges.

In 1 or 2 sentences, what does dance mean to you?
Dance is my home, my meditation, my ground zero. Dance has moved me to find my voice. Dance is my companion, mentor and friend. With that voice, I teach, motivate, organize and engage. Even in spaces of rage, I will always voice and dance the stage.
