I am what you might call a senior artist, practicing for over 40 years.
What will you be sharing at DanceWeekend’24?
A new work, commissioned by Dance Ontario entitled “Manifestations”
How has the pandemic shifted your work as a professional dance artist?
It has given me a deeper appreciation of the ability to present and enjoy live performance, while also engaging the possibilities of technology.
Please share what you are most looking forward to at DanceWeekend?
After being at DanceWeekend for many years it had been some time since I had attended or performed at DanceWeekend, so being at the event and networking with other artists will be great.
Do you have any up-coming performances/workshops/events you would like to share?
Dance classes in Afeeree technique which I researched and developed.
In 1 or 2 sentences, what does dance mean to you?
Dance is life and life is spirit so every action is a pray.
