The Burlington Footnotes is an enthusiastic group of adults who have a passion for dance, community involvement and celebrating the art of active living. The Burlington Footnotes wants adults of all ages and abilities to experience dance to enhance physical, social and mental wellness. Since its inception in 1995, the organization has grown from 6 to more than 70 members. The Footnotes celebrated their 25th and final performance of Gotta SING, Gotta DANCE! in June, 2026 and look forward to exploring new opportunities to invite adults to dance with them, whatever their ability or experience. The Footnotes, with the support of the city of Burlington, are hosting 2 free workshops in September 2026. So You Think You Can’t Dance? seeks adults who are hesitant to dance because of perceived personal and physical barriers. Particpants can participate in Jazz and Chair Tap workshops in a supportive and upbeat environment. The Footnotes continue to seek out and plan participation in community and corporate events to showcase the vitality and talents of the adult population.
