Can you tell us a little bit about yourself/your company?
Ragamalika Mohanraj is an IT Engineer by profession , an Indian Classical dancer by passion and a loving mother to her baby girl.
She commenced her journey in Indian Classical(Barathanatyam) from the tender age of 4 Currently training with guru Shri. Shijith Nambiar and Guru Smt. Parvathy Menon. She is also learning Odissi(Traditional dance form of West India) under Smt.Barnalee Sarkar.She completed a course on Natyashashtra and Karanas(Basics of Indian classical) under Guru. Vithya Arasu.
She also actively learnt Hip hop, calisthenics, yoga, Indian contemporary etc. in India to enhance her skills as a dancer. After moving to the Canada, her passion further intrigued to explore different avenues in dance. This led her to enroll the Martha Graham Technique in Contemporary in the Toronto Dance Theatre.
She had the opportunity to perform and present her dance productions on many platforms across Canada,USA and India.
She was given the ‘North American Tamil Excellence Award 2024’ for her outstanding performance and hard work, by Canada Tamil Sangam.
She was highly praised for her unique dance style and captivating expressions in many dance festivals. She continues to put her earnest efforts and devotes herself to the field of dance.

What does dance mean to you?
Dance has been there for me through all my ups and downs. It’s part of me and I hope to travel with it all my life.
