RAD Ballet Teacher – The School of Canadian Contemporary Dance Theatre (CCDT)

About the Role

The School of CCDT is seeking an experienced, passionate, and collaborative RAD Registered Ballet Teacher to join our faculty for the 2026-27 School Year on Thursday evenings beginning Thursday September 24th, 2026.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong foundation in the RAD syllabus, a warm pedagogical approach, and a commitment to nurturing dancers across various age groups and skill levels. In this role, you will work closely alongside our established team of dedicated RAD ballet faculty to deliver high-quality classical ballet training in a supportive, inspiring environment.

Key Responsibilities

-Teach weekly ballet classes on Thursdays from 5:15 PM to 9:30 PM.
-Instruct a range of levels, including Pre-Primary through Grade 3, Intermediate, as well as Adult Ballet.
-Follow and implement the RAD syllabus effectively, preparing students for potential examinations.
-Maintain a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom atmosphere that encourages technique, artistry, and musicality.
-Collaborate regularly with the CCDT ballet faculty to align on curriculum goals, student progress, and departmental standards.

Qualifications & Skills

-Must be an RAD Registered Teacher
-Proven experience teaching young children (Pre-Primary/Primary), Grades 1-3, Intermediate, and adult learners.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-A collaborative mindset with a desire to contribute actively to a faculty team.
-Strong classroom management skills tailored to age-appropriate learning.
