Acrobatics Instructor

Star Dance Centre is a professional dance studio steps from Sheppard-Yonge Subway in North York, offering full-year programming for children ages 5 to 15. We are expanding our kids program for the 2026-2027 season and are hiring an Acrobatics Instructor to build and lead acrobatics classes as part of our growing performance curriculum.

This is a part-time, in-person role starting September 2026. The instructor will design and deliver age-appropriate acrobatics progressions, maintain strict safety standards at all times, and prepare students for seasonal showcase performances. The role requires someone who can work within a broader dance studio environment and collaborate closely with dance instructors to create a cohesive experience for students.

What we are looking for:

Minimum 2 years of experience teaching acrobatics or gymnastics to children
Formal training in acrobatics, gymnastics, or a related discipline
Certification in acrobatics or tumbling is a strong asset
Strong understanding of safe spotting techniques and developmentally appropriate progressions
Able to assess student ability levels and adapt progressions individually
Patient, encouraging, and consistent in a group classroom environment
Experience in a dance studio, gym, or school setting is a strong asset
Must be able to commute to North York reliably
