The Metcalf Foundation’s Performing Arts Program Director, Michael Jones, will be leaving the Foundation at the beginning of October to assume the role of CEO at the Saskatchewan Arts Board.

Michael has made a significant contribution to the sector since joining the Foundation in 2007. He revamped Metcalf’s Performing Arts Program and launched the Creative Strategies Incubator in 2013. He led the expansion of Metcalf’s Innovation Fellowship program to the performing arts sector, working with Jane Marsland on her studies of shared charitable platforms, with Shannon Litzenberger on means of supporting next generation arts practice, and with Elizabeth MacKinnon and Christine Pellerin on their upcoming paper about social finance in the arts. Michael has also been a leader in a number of foundation-wide initiatives, including Metcalf’s 50th anniversary activities in 2010 and the 2012 redesign of Metcalf’s website.

Metcalf’s Board and staff wish Michael every success in this exciting next step in his career. Michael will remain at the Foundation until October 2nd, during which time they will begin the search for his successor as Performing Arts Program Director. Please watch their website for details regarding the search.
