Movement-Based Classes for Older Adults
Looking for some fun, creative ways to get your body moving through the colder months? Come join tiger princess dance projects, a non-profit contemporary dance company, bringing you a custom designed movement-based classes for older adults. Join Artistic Director Yvonne Ng and her team of professional artists in a fun, healthy, and exciting arts program, Moving Stories (2016).
These online classes offer an introduction into the enriching world of art and creativity through movement, dance and music. They aim to improve circulation, retain joint mobility, promote mental stimulation, improve posture and coordination, and build strength and balance.
Dance is an art form and as such, has potential to engage with the whole person. Dance can improve balance, flexibility, circulation and reduce the risks of falls. Our class offers an opportunity for self-expression.
No previous dance experience required.
Suggested Age: 65+
Go at your own pace, modifications encouraged
Exercises can be modified for seated movement or standing
DATES: Monday February 7th to March 14th from 10AM to 11AM over Zoom
