Moonhorse Dance Theatre’s founder and long-time Artistic Director, Claudia Moore, has announced her decision to step down as the venerated leader of MDT in the fall of 2022. Moonhorse Dance Theatre was founded in 1996; its vibrant, community-based, equity-involved and percipient program, Older + Reckless, began operations in 2000. At this time, the Board of MDT, with great support from our immediate community, is undertaking a process to seek a new Artistic Director (AD). This is an exciting opportunity to play a role in creating space for the continued artistic expression and contribution by Canada’s gifted senior dance artists, while providing creative engagement for non-professional senior movers and dance lovers of all ages, while maintaining and building on the celebrated programs and commitment to equity and inclusion that are at the heart of Claudia’s achievements.
