Our flagship event, DanceWeekend’21 is just around the corner! Join us from April 29th-May 2nd for Dance Ontario's first ever virtual weekend of dance films, interactive workshops, and more!

DanceWeekend’21 will kick off on April 29th with International Dance Day celebrations followed by four action-packed days that will showcase a uniquely captivating feast of globally inspired dance. Tune in on Friday for a dance film series featuring exclusive interviews with the filmmakers and choreographers. On Saturday we’ll present additional films, new choreography, awards and end the day with a DJ Dance party! We’ll close off the weekend on Sunday with captivating workshops to get you moving!

A virtual dance party to celebrate dance across Ontario! Twirl, stomp and shake from your bedroom, kitchen or wherever you may be! Wear something fun, choose a cool background, and show us your moves as you dance alongside 8 featured artists from different styles who will be animating the event. Featuring DJ Andrew Tay, newly appointed artistic director of Toronto Dance Theatre, the Dance Weekend Digital Jam is imagined as a much needed opportunity for us to all be together and connect through movement in these distanced times. See you on the (Virtual) dance floor!

Register for the event to be seen and interact with other party goers on zoom, or watch the party live on the DanceWeekend site.

There is a recommended donation of $15 per person for unlimited access to DanceWeekend’21 performances and events.
