The Class – A contemporary & queer-friendly approach to basic Ballet technique class for the non-professional dancer. If you are afraid to take a ballet class, this class is for you! Sara’s comfortable & casual approach to ballet technique encourages and enhances alignment, physical articulation, strength, breath and ease of movement. The non-judgemental studio space supports the dancer in everyone. Class focus is engaging in the pleasure and play of ballet.

The Teacher – Sara Porter is an international contemporary dancer who has designed and taught engaging and innovative dance curriculum over the past twenty-five years in Canada and UK in a range of settings. She has taught professional artists, university students, and dancers of all ages from teens to the elderly through courses in contemporary dance, improvisation, choreography, history, criticism and cultural theory. She took her first ballet class at age 8 and hated it. She played volleyball for a decade before returning to dance and launching a professional career.
