Dance Ontario presents a Preview of DanceWeekend’24 featuring ten ten + kiyo.

ten ten + kiyo combine Japanese traditional music and the Spanish art form flamenco. Their mission is to introduce how beautifully the two completely different art forms from two different countries can come together, and how new yet traditional the creation from the collaboration is.

The piece is from their project called ‘Hikidashi’ meaning ‘drawers’ in Japanese.  The project was about creating material for and from each other so they can keep it in their ‘drawers’ and use whenever they want.

The Free Concert Series in the Richard Bradshaw Amphitheatre takes place in Toronto’s most breathtaking spaces. In the Isadore and Rosalie Sharp City Room at the Four Seasons Centre, this renowned glass enclosed space connects the building to its surroundings and community.
