Guelph Dance Emerging Artist Intensive

The Guelph Dance Emerging Artist Intensive is five days of either in person or online workshops and classes from May 30th to June 3rd, 2022 9:30AM-4PM EST coinciding with the Guelph Dance festival. The intensive is designed to help provide emerging dance artists with the necessary tools and information to support your transition to a professional dance artist.

● Movement Workshops featuring various styles of dance to help broaden the participants knowledge of various dance genres as well as expand their technical skillset.

● A Repertoire session in which the participants will be given the opportunity to work with French choreographer Laura Arend and perform in the Guelph Dance Festival.

● Round Table Discussions led by members of the dance community to provide practical information and resources to help propel the careers of emerging dance artists.

Through the intensive, participants will get to network with one another as well as the intensive leaders including Tanveer Alam (Toronto), Janet Johnson (Guelph), Tatiana Desardouin (New York), Pulga Muchochoma (Toronto), Madeline Feist (Toronto), Laura Arend (France), Gillian Seaward-Boone (Halifax), and Katie Ewald (Guelph). Participants will also be given a full online access pass as well as artist discounts to the Guelph Dance Festival within the $255 fee for the intensive.
