NBS Sharing Dance

Each year Canada’s National Ballet School (NBS) commissions Canadian artists to create a piece of choreography that embodies a thoughtful theme to bring people together and celebrate the joy of movement.\

The 2023 NBS Sharing Dance Choreography was created by Kimberley Cooper, Eugene Baffoe, Tracee Smith and Roger Sinha and celebrates the power of collaboration and the vibrant diversity of Canadian dance artists. The original choreography was created in 2017 as a Canada 150 Signature Project, and we are thrilled to be remounting this work this year.

How to participate:

• Learn the Sharing Dance Day Choreography – with step-by-step instructional videos adapted for all ages and abilities, no dance experience is required!
• Be part of a collaborative video collage featuring dancers from across the country! To participate, film and share a short clip of your favourite part of this year’s NBS Sharing Dance Choreography and submit through this link by May 12, 2023.
