The Welcome Gesture led by Dreamwalker Dance Company is a grand scale Public Action at Nathan Phillips Square.
This activity is part of The Welcome Project a dance and movement experience that supports the Canadian values of celebration of diversity, mutual respect and freedom of self-expression.
All Newcomer Day event guests are welcomed to participate in The Welcome Gesture guided by Dreamwalker ensemble Philip Davis, Danielle Denichaud, Joshua DePerry, Mayumi Lashbrook and Michelle Silagy with Welcome Gesture Ambassadors Ali Abdel Ali, Ping Gu, Chiamaka Glory, Bee Soh, Priyamvada Tiwari, Luisa Yanez and Saba Zhian.
