CORPUS presents Swan Lake Syndrome,  co-created by Linnea Swan and David Danzon, performed by Linnea Swan, directed by David Danzon

Award-winning performing artist Linnea Swan and Corpus’ artistic director David Danzon re-imagine Swan Lake as a one-woman show.  To be premiered in 2016 in unsuspected venues.

Founded in 1997 by Sylvie Bouchard and Artistic Director David Danzon, CORPUS is known for its precise and surrealist humour that combines movement with theatrical imagery. The company is particularly recognized for its innovative approach to dance theatre presentations, which often include unusual venues and unsuspected audience members. Over the past 18 years, CORPUS has enjoyed large and diverse audiences, with more than 1,500 performances in 28 countries on four continents. Most recently, the company completed its 15th international tour throughout Asia and the U.S, to great public and critical acclaim. CORPUS was the recipient of several awards and nominations, including the Prix Hommage for Arts from the Féderation Culturelle Canadienne Française; the gold-medal in the Street theatre category at the IV Games of la Francophonie; Dora Mavor Moore award nominations for Les moutons, Nuit blanche and Rendez-vous; and the Audience Award for the short film Peep Show at Cinedans (Netherlands) and Lisbon InShadow Film Festival (Portugal).

Performing artist Linnea Swan has had the pleasure of working with many of Canada’s esteemed dance / theatre companies and artists in a career spanning over twenty years. Also a filmmaker, she has created numerous dance films, a 30 minute documentary, two web series, and is passionately devoted to performance documentation. Linnea was honoured to have been chosen as the 2015 recipient of the K.M. Hunter Artist Award in Dance.
