Dear colleagues,

The survey on the social impact of dance is on line at www.ekos.com !

As you know, 5 years ago, we undertook the ambitious project to launch a multi-phase national study on Dance in Canada. As part of the Study, we created the largest Dance Map in the world, followed by the Dance Wheel and the results of the Yes I Dance survey, taken by over 8,000 dance practitioners across Canada.

We conclude this cycle of the Study with a survey for dance organizations and companies that investigates the social impact of dance. The survey attempts to answer some of the following questions:

  • How does dance benefit a society, a community or a particular group within a community?
  • How can dance be an instrument for positive change (mental, physical, spiritual) for individuals within our society?
  • What are we already doing and where is our biggest impact?

The survey has just been sent to 3,000 dance schools, studios, companies, presenters and service organizations on the Dance Map.

We encourage you to take the survey or encourage your clients or stakeholders to do so, so we can all contribute to advancing our collective knowledge of dance and its contribution to our lives!

Thanks again for your continued support!
