Dance Ontario’s Selection Committee (Lola Ryan, Jennifer Watkins, Ofilio Portillo, Alan Faigal, Tina Nicolaidis) is delighted to announce that choreographers Ryan Lee and Alyssa Martin (Rock Bottom Movement) have been chosen for the 2016 Creative Partnerships Program. These unique artists will bring two exciting world premieres to the Fleck Dance Theatre stage in January as part of Dance Ontario DanceWeekend 2017.
Ryan Lee will present a contemporary dance work for male dancers exploring masculinity, insecurity and expectations.
Alyssa Martin will present Dolphin, examining the demise of spirituality through a blend of contemporary dance and physical comedy.
