Rolling 101: Explore the research, anatomy, biomechanics, physiology, related conditions, and various rolling techniques specifically geared towards dancers and dance educators.

In-person participants will receive a ball to use and keep. Online participants will receive instructions for a suitable ball.

Dr. Stephen Gray, BMTP, DC:

A graduate of the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, Dr. Gray is also certified/trained in clinical and athletic taping, mental health first aid (CAMH), Smarttools (IASTM), Progressing Ballet Technique, Pilates Process Teacher Training Program, Athletic Movement Assessment (Lower Limb), Concussion Detection & Management (U of Calgary), Thompson Technique, Functional Range Conditioning, and McMaster University’s Medical Acupuncture Program. Dr. Gray is also the Founder and Chiropractor at Made To Move (two locations downtown Toronto). Prior to his clinical journey, Dr. Gray performed professionally for over 15 years as a member of CAEA, AEA, and ACTRA across North America (Stratford, Charlottetown, Broadway tour, Degrassi, including a Broadway World Award for Best Lead in a Musical), and has taught for TMU (Dance), Randolph College (Music Theatre), Sheridan Institute (Music Theatre), University of Manitoba (Vocal Music), Cornerstone University (Drama), George Brown College (Commercial Jazz), DUBO Force (Mexico), as well as in leading a music theatre program in Taipei, Taiwan, guest teaching at the National Dance Institute (Albequerque), and over 10 performing arts high schools across North America. He has also choreographed for Sandals Resort Turks & Caicos, Neptune Theatre (Robert Merritt Award for Choreography), Theatre Aquarius, and for the Mirvish Education Department. Dr. Gray has adjudicated across Canada, as well as a music and dance festival in Taiwan. Dr. Gray has also written over 20 articles for four dance magazines including Dance Teacher + (formerly Dance Teacher Magazine) and The Dance Current (2022 Health Sponsor). Dr. Gray can also be seen as a guest expert on both Breakfast Television and Global TV’s nationally syndicated The Morning Show.
