About Jade’s Hip Hop Academy Performance Company:
Jade’s Hip Hop Academy (JHHA) Performance Company is based out of Brampton, Ontario. The company is unique in it’s focus and production of work exclusively with Hip Hop and Street Dance Street Dance and Young Dancers ages 8 to 18. They present high energy, engaging and captivating pieces aimed at inspiring audiences and creating calls to action
Can you tell us a little bit about yourself/your company?
The Academy was founded in 2006 and the Company in 2009 by Jade Jager Clark, a self taught dancer, teacher and choreographer who now trains directly with and develops her curriculum with the Creators and original generation of Hip Hop, Club and street style dancers.
What will you be sharing at DanceWeekend’24?
Jade’s Hip Hop Academy Performance Company will be presenting a variety of mini excerpts of current pieces in progress under the theme of STRIVE – to continue focus and working towards your goals while overcoming personal and worldly conflict.
How has the pandemic shifted your work as a professional dance artist?
The pandemic challenged us to pivot to online learning, virtual shows and competitions. We are proud of the work we produced but definitely prefer in person shows.
Please share what you are most looking forward to at DanceWeekend?
DW didn’t take place in 2023 so we are excited to return to the Festival after a year and a half!
Do you have any up-coming performances/workshops/events you would like to share?
Audiences are welcome to attend our annual end of year showcase with our Academy and Performance Company on Saturday May 25th from 7pm to 9pm at the Rose Theatre in Brampton, Ontario.

Dance is Family. Dance is Freedom of Expression. Dance is Love. Dance is Life.
