About Little Pear Garden Company:
Started in 1994 as a Peking Opera collective, then transformed into a professional dance company in 2007, the Little Pear Garden Dance Company is one of the most sought-after dance troupes in Canada. Inspired by the rich and diverse tapestry of Chinese dance vocabularies, the Company has created an acclaimed and powerful body of work that encompasses both classical and contemporary productions, warmly received by audiences of all ages and cultures.

What will you be sharing at DanceWeekend’24?
We will be sharing a performance called ‘The Legend of Chang’e, Immortal Goddess of the Moon’, along with Phoenx Ensemble. It will be a live dance performance with live music.
How has the pandemic shifted your work as a professional dance artist?
We realized various ways to reach out to audience using social media and virtual platforms.
Please share what you are most looking forward to at DanceWeekend?
We are looking forward to having live audience and sharing space with other dance companies.
Do you have any up-coming performances/workshops/events you would like to share?
In November, we have performance at the Cathay Ball and conducting dance workshops in Aurora. We will have a performance for Spectrum of Connection in Oakville during May 2024. Next year, we will be sharing our 30th anniversary with a lot of performances and events.

Dance reflects timeless emotions that feed the soul for a lifetime.
