What will you be sharing at DanceWeekend’25
We will be sharing a fun and upbeat routine that is inspired by the Lion King/The Circle of life. It is a fusion of Afro, Street Style and Contemporary movement.
Please share what you are most looking forward to at DanceWeekend?
DanceWeekend gathers dancers, choreographers, educators, and other professionals from diverse backgrounds. Participating in the event can open doors for collaborations, partnerships, and future performance opportunities, expanding our company’s connections within the dance community. It also features a variety of styles and cultural expressions, offering a chance for the company to experience and learn from different artistic traditions, thereby broadening our understanding of the global dance landscape.
Do you have any up-coming performances/workshops/events you would like to share?
We are excited to be presented by Arts Orillia on February 28th, where we will be sharing our newest production, Black in Canada
What does dance mean to you?
Expression of Identity: For me, dance is a powerful way to express my true self—whether it’s through my culture, emotions, or personal journey. It’s a form of communication beyond words, where I can embody my experiences, struggles, and triumphs. Additionally, dance offers a way to celebrate my roots, whether through traditional dances, contemporary styles, or fusion
