The dance community is mourning the loss and remembering the legacy of Patricia (Trish) Beatty), one of Canada’s most esteemed dance artists.
Dancer, choreographer, teacher and pioneer in developing and nurturing modern dance in Toronto and Canada, Patricia Beatty was a co-founder of Toronto Dance Theatre and the School of Toronto Dance Theatre. Her works and teaching have impacted generations of dance artists and creators and she was the recipient of the Dance Ontario Lifetime Achievement Award for her immense contribution to dance in the province.
