Principal Ballet Academy is seeking an experienced and passionate Adult Ballet Teacher to join our growing studio in King City for September 2026 and onwards.

We are a specialized ballet school dedicated exclusively to adult students. We offer a welcoming, inclusive environment where adults can study classical ballet seriously in a conservatory-style setting, while also celebrating the joy of movement and respecting the diverse bodies, abilities, and goals of adult dancers.

The Role

We are looking for a teacher who can confidently teach:

• Adult open/drop-in ballet, from absolute beginner through intermediate
• RAD Intermediate Foundation
• Technically sound, engaging classes that provide appropriate modifications and challenges for adult students

The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong classical ballet training and teaching experience
• Experience teaching adult ballet
• Experience teaching, or qualifications to teach, RAD Intermediate Foundation
• Excellent knowledge of ballet technique, terminology, musicality, and alignment
• A warm, encouraging, and professional teaching style
• The ability to maintain high technical standards while creating a supportive and inclusive environment
• An understanding of working with adult bodies, including physical limitations and varying levels of experience

RAD qualifications are strongly preferred.

Availability

Monday evenings: 6:30–9:00 PM – required

Ideally, availability for one additional weekday evening as well.

Morning availability once or twice per week would be an asset.

Additional teaching opportunities may become available as the studio grows.

Compensation

$50–$60 per teaching hour, based on experience and qualifications.
