Job Summary:
We are offering an exciting Energy Exchange/Internship opportunity for a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team as an Assistant Choreographer/Choreographer Personal Assistant. This position is designed to provide valuable hands-on experience and learning opportunities in the field of dance and choreography. Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Stephanie Brinning to develop creative and innovative dance routines for performances and events.
- Assist in conducting auditions and casting dancers for various projects.
- Support the Stephanie Brinning in planning, organizing, and executing rehearsals, including scheduling, booking studio space, and coordinating with dancers.
- Assist in teaching and instructing dancers on choreography, techniques, and movements.
- Help in the creation and organization of production notes, including documenting choreography, costume designs, and music selections.
- Provide administrative support, including managing calendars, arranging travel, and coordinating meetings and appointments.
- Assist in coordinating and overseeing costume fittings, props, and stage setups.
- Assist with backstage management during performances, ensuring smooth transitions and timely execution of routines.
- Stay updated on current trends, techniques, and developments in the field of dance and choreography.
Qualifications:
- College Level Certification or Diplomacy in Dance, Choreography, Performing Arts, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in dance and choreography, either through professional training, performances, or previous assistant roles.
- Strong knowledge of various dance styles, techniques, and choreographic concepts.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with dancers, artists, and other team members.
- Proficiency in dance notation software and other relevant tools (e.g., music editing software) is a plus.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required.
- Passion for the performing arts and a strong commitment to artistic excellence.
Qualification: Knowledgeable about LGBTQ+ Culture
- In-depth understanding of LGBTQ+ history, identities, and challenges.
- Ability to create inclusive environments for LGBTQ+ individuals.
- Familiarity with LGBTQ+ organizations, resources, and cultural expressions.
