Job Summary:

We are offering an exciting Energy Exchange/Internship opportunity for a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team as an Assistant Choreographer/Choreographer Personal Assistant. This position is designed to provide valuable hands-on experience and learning opportunities in the field of dance and choreography. If you are passionate about dance and eager to develop your skills in choreography and artistic direction, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Stephanie Brinning to develop creative and innovative dance routines for performances and events.
• Assist in conducting auditions and casting dancers for various projects.
• Support the Stephanie Brinning in planning, organizing, and executing rehearsals, including scheduling, booking studio space, and coordinating with dancers.
• Assist in teaching and instructing dancers on choreography, techniques, and movements.
• Help in the creation and organization of production notes, including documenting choreography, costume designs, and music selections.
• Provide administrative support, including managing calendars, arranging travel, and coordinating meetings and appointments.
• Assist in coordinating and overseeing costume fittings, props, and stage setups.
• Assist with backstage management during performances, ensuring smooth transitions and timely execution of routines.
• Stay updated on current trends, techniques, and developments in the field of dance and choreography.

Qualifications:

• College Level Certification or Diplomacy in Dance, Choreography, Performing Arts, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in dance and choreography, either through professional training, performances, or previous assistant roles.
• Strong knowledge of various dance styles, techniques, and choreographic concepts.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with dancers, artists, and other team members.
• Proficiency in dance notation software and other relevant tools (e.g., music editing software) is a plus.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required.
• Passion for the performing arts and a strong commitment to artistic excellence.

Qualification: Knowledgeable about LGBTQ+ Culture

• In-depth understanding of LGBTQ+ history, identities, and challenges.
• Ability to create inclusive environments for LGBTQ+ individuals.
• Familiarity with LGBTQ+ organizations, resources, and cultural expressions.
