AUDITION CALL FOR PERFORMERS!!!
Breakaway Entertainment is excited to announce our fourth major production entitled ‘The Iron Mask’- premiering at the 2025 Toronto Fringe Festival!
A retelling of Alexandre Dumas’ book ‘Man In The Iron Mask’ told through a 1920s Prohibition Toronto lens.
To facilitate the creation of this exciting new project we will be hosting auditions for Female- identifying and Male-identifying dancers/musical theatre performers.
Audition Details:
Seeking experienced Female-Identifying dancers & Male-Identifying dancers, versatile in Jazz Technique & Theatre Jazz Technique – with an emphasis on storytelling. Strong partnering and great physical acting. Age range 19-40 years. All ethnicities, body types and backgrounds welcomed and encouraged to submit.
Date: Tuesday April 1st 2024 (not an April fools joke haha).
Time: 10:30am-1pm
Location: Randolph College For The Performing Arts 736 Bathurst St, Toronto, ON M5S 2R4

Compensation – Profit share, with guaranteed minimum compensation. Equity and non-equity welcome. If Equity, will be engaged under a festival contract.

Toronto Fringe Festival Premiere:
The production of ‘The Iron Mask’ is scheduled to make its world premiere at the 2025 Toronto Fringe Festival July 3rd to July 13th at the Theatre Passe Muraille. We are excited to be partnering with thr Alliance of Canadian Musicals for this new production.
Rehearsals running May & June, based off of performer schedules.
Tech to be run one day in the week lead up before the festival – Date TBA.
