KareVan Productions is seeking female identifying dancers for the 2024 season of shows at Diamond Tooth Gerties Gambling Hall in Dawson City, Yukon.

STORYLINE :
This production consists of three 30-45 min cabarets and runs every night from May-
September. The cast features 2 singers, 2 musicians and 4 dancers. There are 3 different shows each night:
• a gold rush themed show set in 1898 featuring can-can dancing and ragtime music
• a classy cabaret, featuring notable jazz/modern hits with a vintage feel
• a through the decades show, featuring the biggest hits of the past 70 years.

ADDITIONAL INFO:
This is a non equity production. All performers are paid, and accommodations and travel to and from Dawson City are paid for.

All performers must be 19 years of age by May 10, 2024.

KareVan Productions is seeking mature, strong, technically trained female identifying dancers.

Dancers should have:
• Experience learning choreography quickly
• Training in ballet/jazz/contemporary/musical theatre
• Ability to kick to eye height, cartwheel and jump split
• Aerial Arts/Acrobatic Skills and asset

Dancers who are strong singers are encouraged to also register for the singer call on December 13th. Please visit karevan.ca/auditions for more information.

Rates: Starting at $825/week, performance week is 4-5 days, plus accommodation and travel to and from Dawson City. This is a non union production.

Self Tape Submissions

We will accept self tapes for those performers outside of the Toronto area.

Submission Date: Self Tapes will be accepted until January 1st, 2024

Video Submission Criteria:
• Please upload your audition tape to Youtube or Vimeo – Unlisted.
• Do not send files.

In addition to your resume, headshot and demo reel, please also include the following; wear all black form fitting dance attire and dance boot or character shoe for this section of your self tape:

• Eye level high kicks (both legs) • Stationary leg grab (both legs, hold for 5 seconds)
• Cartwheels (both sides) • Double pirouette
• Splits (both sides) • Your best jump

Slate: Please slate your name, height, and location. Tell us why you would like to work in Dawson City, and something fun about yourself! Also let us know if you play any instruments or have special skills that may be useful to the role.
