Contemporary Dancers – Ismailova Theatre of Dance

Contemporary DANCERS for a physical theatre production in Toronto.

Ismailova Theatre of Dance is looking for dancers of all genders for its new full-length dance/physical theatre production based on Ken Kesey’s novel “One Flew Over The Cucoo’s Nest” to be presented on June 2, 3, 26 and 29 in Toronto in 2023.

Audition date: February 11th 2023, Saturday, 3 – 6 pm. 

Audition location: Dufferin and Finch area, exact location upon registration.

Dancers must be committed, responsible and available to rehearse for 15 times between May 8 and 27 2023. Mornings (10am – 3pm OR 9:30am – 2:30pm) (please email for the exact schedule). 

Contemporary dance is the company’s main focus, however, any dance and physical theatre background, as well as ACTORS who can dance, are welcome to audition.

This is a paid project.

Registration for audition is required. Email us at [email protected] with your contact information (cell number) and a resume or a short artistic bio in a Word format. Please also provide link to dance reel, class or rehearsal video if available. 

After audition some performers may be offered an apprentice position and an opportunity to train with the company. If you’d like more information about apprentice position, please enquire via email.
