Dance Instructor

Underdog Dance Corp is Waterloo’s highest-rated studio for beginner adults, and we’re growing our teaching team. We’re looking for experienced instructors who are kind, empathetic, patient, and able to teach technique with clarity and a strong focus on safety. Who We Are

Your Role
• Teach 50-minute adult dance classes with safe, clear progressions
• Create a welcoming, encouraging environment for beginners
• Prepare weekly lesson plans using our teaching framework
• Support students through challenges with empathy and patience
• Contribute positively to a consistent, team-centered studio culture
• Complete basic class duties such as attendance and light studio care
• Participate in onboarding and training appropriate to your role

Who You Are
• Experienced in one or more styles (Latin, heels, hip-hop, jazz, ballet, contemporary, K-pop, etc.)
• Naturally kind, patient, encouraging, and reliable
• Clear communicator with strong technique fundamentals
• Team-oriented and grounded
• Available evenings and weekends (4–20 hrs/week)
• Able to teach your style(s) exclusively with Underdog in Waterloo
