Dance Studio Manager

We are seeking a driven, business-oriented Studio Manager with an ownership mentality who models our ethos of welcome, belonging and inclusion to students and colleagues alike. This role creates and supervises systems that deepen student satisfaction and increase studio profitability by ensuring retention and new student growth. Reporting to the Executive and Artistic Directors, you will be responsible for the seamless execution of the “Steps Experience.”
You will lead the Front Desk and Energy Exchange teams, oversee the studio’s operational success, ensure the studio is meticulously maintained and collaborate with our social media manager to build Steps’ digital presence so it is as dynamic as the dance floor. This is a role for a strategic thinker who balances administrative precision with the creative flair needed to drive growth and the client service orientation to ensure student retention success.
About You
● 3-4 years of professional experience in office management, administration, or hospitality. At least 1 year in a supervisory role is required.
● You must demonstrate expertise in Google Suite and social media platforms. Proficiency in Mindbody is an advantage.
● You run reports, analyze them for trends and issues, propose solutions to challenges and you use data to identify opportunities for growth and efficiency.
● Exceptional verbal and written skills. You draft error-free communications and remain calm, focused, kind and thoughtful under pressure in a busy dance studio.
● We are looking for the right person for this position and are open to it being 50%, 75% or a 100% full time hybrid role. You must be available for at least three in-person shifts per week (weekdays from 1pm-7:30pm) to support the studio’s peak operational hours. Some work can be done from home with flexible timing.
