DANCE TEACHER POSITION
ST. JOHN’S, NL, CANADA

JILL DREADY DANCECO is looking for a dynamic and versatile dance teacher to teach Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Broadway, Hip Hop, Acrobatic Arts and Lyrical. Any other genres are welcome. Position is full time, permanent (approx. 30 hours per week)

JILL DREADDY DANCECO offers the largest variety of dance disciplines in the Province including Flamenco, Breaking, Belly Dance, Contemporary, Lyrical, Ballroom & Latin American, Broadway, Hip Hop, Ballet, Tap, Jazz and dance for young children (2-4 yrs). JDD has 2 locations within 20 minutes of each other.

St. John’s, is the perfect combination of big-city luxury and traditional small-town charm. It is one of the oldest and most easterly cities in North America, and has become a rare destination full of character and charisma, with a contemporary, sophisticated edge.

Candidates must be passionate about teaching dance, love to teach all ages & levels, and have a natural ability to engage young children.

Responsibilities:
– create a structured, fun, and creative learning environment
– choreograph dance pieces for the year end production
– coordinate and work with artistic director as needed

There is also an opportunity to choreograph for our competition stream program.

Must have successfully completed a professional dance teacher training program and hold a diploma, or equivalent, in modern theatre/jazz, tap, and ballet. Teaching experience is necessary. Must have CPR or First Aid and have a valid driver’s license.

Wages: approx. $32.96-36.96 per hour (based on qualifications and experience)

Position start date: September 2026
