We are growing our team starting Feb 2025 and beyond!

We’re currently seeking a passionate and professional Jazz and Acro Teacher who has a great ability to engage kids and genuinely loves teaching children. You also have a keen attention to detail. This contract can also lead to summer and Fall 2025 Sessions.

  • Certification in Acrobatic Arts required.
  • Jazz Certification is a plus ADE or ADAPT preferred
  • Examination preparation will be required for this position.
  • Experience teaching kids ages 5 and up is preferred and the ability to teach other dance forms is also a plus! Must be available on Saturday mornings.

Our Ideal Candidate will:

  • have 3 to 4 years experience teaching acrodance classes to students of various ages and skill levels.
  • have the ability to connect with, motivate and inspire students while maintaining a positive and encouraging teaching style.
  • have Strong class management, technical and choreography skills.
  • take pride in their recital and possible competitive choreography.
  • have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • be reliable and punctual with a commitment to professional excellence.

We have an over 5000 square foot facility in a plaza with a Tim Horton’s, Shoppers Drug Mart, and a Supermarket. If you are a driver, we are close to Hwy 404 & 401 with ample free-parking. Not a driver? There is a bus stop right in front of our studio and a GO Train stop 5 minutes away.

Job Description:

As an Acrodance Teacher, you’ll be responsible for leading engaging and inspiring classes for students of all ages and skill levels. Your duties will include:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality jazz and acrodance lessons that align with curriculum objectives and cater to the needs of individual students.
  • Creating choreography for recitals and potentially competitive performances, showcasing your creativity and expertise.
  • Providing constructive feedback and guidance to students to help them develop their technique, artistry, and confidence.
  • Completing Report Cards
  • Preparation for Exams and recital choreography required.
  • Ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment by implementing proper warm-up routines, spotting techniques, and adhering to safety protocols for acrobatics.
  • Collaborating with other instructors and staff members to coordinate schedules, events, and performances.
  • Participating in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching skills and stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.

Schedule and Compensation:

This position requires availability on Saturdays, with possible summer and fall 2025 work in the future. The pay rate is negotiable and will be based on experience and qualifications.
