The Dance Ontario Awards Committee is delighted to announce that Justine Coroza will be the recipient of this year’s Jacque Foesier Youth Dance Award. The ceremony will take place during DanceWeekend’21 on Saturday, May 1st.
“Justine is truly a bright light amongst her peers. At the young age of 16 her performance resume and achievements as a teacher already match those of well-established professional dance artists. She is a phenomenal performer who captivates her audiences and a young leader completely committed to bringing the best out of her students.
Justine started training at Jade’s Hip Hop Academy at 5yrs old training in hip hop dance, breaking, popping, house, locking, krump, waacking and lite feet. A standout for her diligence and work ethic she was the youngest dancer to be added to her studios critically acclaimed performance company. She skyrocketed in the competition circuit with numerous titles provincially, nationally and internationally at the UDO World Street dance Championships and Pulse National Convention. She has performed on the Ellen DeGeneres show, Breakfast Television, CTV and CP 24. She hosted and danced on segments for TVO Kids and YTV. She’s been featured on Family Channel’s Dance Mansion, performed for Maestro Fresh Wes, Director X and Paula Abdul. She has received two Citizen of Brampton Arts Acclaim awards for her competitive dance achievements.”

Established in Brampton in 2006, Jade’s Hip Hop Academy (JHHA) has built and impressive reputation from outstanding competition results and numerous electrifying performances in the Brampton community, Southern Ontario and on YouTube. The talent and quality of work has landed JHHA on the ELLEN DEGENERES SHOW in 2015 and shares and reposts of their routines on Twitter and Instagram by Dwayne “THE ROCK” Johnson, Missy Elliot, Paula Abdul, Chris Brown and Iggy Azalea.
Owner and Artistic Director Jade Jager Clark is focused on educating students in authentic hip hop and street dance foundations, technique and history.
The Youth Dance Award is named in honour of long time Board member and founding Chair of Dance Ontario Association, Jacque Foesier whose lifetime commitment to bringing dance to youth from all backgrounds is a shining example for us all. Previous recipients include Makeda Benitez, Isabella Rapino, Madison Gray, Tess Vosper and Zachary Seto.
Through the generosity of the Foesier Family and their friends Martha Jarrell, Roberta Kremer & the Finkelstein Family, Gerald P. King, Susan Lapell, Amy Stone, Karlee Vukets, this award will carry a cash contribution towards the recipient’s ongoing training.
