Pow Wow Boot Camp is a mix of Pow Wow dance and cardio fitness. It teaches traditional steps while keeping the energy up with house, techno, and Pow Wow beats. A great way to move, sweat, and connect with culture.
Can you tell us a little bit about yourself/your company?
I’m Classic Roots, a DJ, producer, and dancer from Long Lake 58 First Nation. My work blends Indigenous culture with electronic music and movement, creating spaces for dance, fitness, and community.
Workshop level/target audience and suggested attire and footwear
All levels welcome – beginners to advanced. Wear comfortable athletic clothes and running shoes or dance sneakers.
Do you have any up-coming performances/workshops/events you would like to share?
Yes! More Pow Wow Boot Camps, DJ sets, and workshops coming soon. Stay tuned!
What does dance mean to you?
Dance is movement, culture, and energy. It’s a way to stay connected, stay active, and express who we are.
