Priyanjana Roy Chowdhury is a multidisciplinary South Asian dancer, choreographer, and artistic director based in the GTA. Trained in Kathak, Bharatanatyam, Rabindra Nritya, Nazrul Geeti, Bengali folk, Bollywood, Modern, and more, she draws from this diverse foundation to create a distinctive classical–contemporary fusion vocabulary.

She is the founder and artistic director of Nritya Padakhep, a Toronto dance collective presenting South Asian classical, folk, and cinematic fusion works. Through the ensemble, she develops festival pieces, narrative-driven productions, and high-energy performances showcased across major arts and cultural platforms in the GTA. She has also collaborated widely within the South Asian arts community, serving as a principal dancer in multiple productions.

Priyanjana’s artistic work engages themes of identity, womanhood, mythology, and the diasporic experience. Known for honouring classical tradition while introducing innovative interpretations, she is dedicated to expanding the presence of South Asian dance in Canadian arts spaces and creating work that is both technically grounded and culturally resonant.
