I am Shirley and the owner of the Birchleaf Dance Studio, Waterloo, Ontario. Birchleaf Dance is volunteer based Community Dance Group for the love of dance – modern Egyptian/Turkish Dance known as Oriental Dance, Latin dance lady style, and Hawaiian dance. We share our passion of dance to our communities and we believe ” Dance is a way of life”. It was originally established in 2006 and re-established in 2025, and our diverse performances offer insights into the history and significance of these traditions. We believe that dance is a way of reflecting culture and contributes to healthy living.
