Evolving roles and responsibilities

Over the next few months, we will implement a planned staff transition.

Managing Editor Brittany Duggan is moving into the new position of Online Editor as she shifts to a part-time role in order to pursue graduate studies in September.

Sarah Lochhead will be embracing a full-time position as Assistant Director, with operational responsibilities and increased fiscal oversight. She will continue to be the organization’s main contact for both advertising and sponsorship opportunities.

Executive Director and Founding Editor Megan Andrews will maintain her part-time commitment to provide ongoing guidance and consultation in both the editorial and operational conversations, as the team members settle into their new and evolving roles.

“The board and I are delighted to welcome Lee to the team and to be evolving our staff configuration in our new digs at 401 Richmond. It’s a year of renewal at The Dance Current, and we are heading into the future with a fresh outlook. I’m particularly excited that Brittany will be staying on and working closely with Lee to shape our editorial content. It’s also a great pleasure to have Sarah Lochhead back on the team and taking on increased responsibility. I look forward to working with everyone to ensure that The Dance Current remains at the forefront of excellence as Canada’s dance magazine.” – Megan Andrews
