Celebrating Indigenous History Month

June is Indigenous History Month. We recognize the First Nation, Inuit, and Métis people who have helped shape the dance community today and celebrate Ontario's dance artists of Indigenous descent.

Celebrate with us by watching, participating and learning with the following events:

- Join The National Indigenous Peoples Day virtual activities happening on June 21, 2021. Learn more here 
Participate in the National Arts Centre's Powwow Workout Class - Hoop Dance with Alex Wells on June 17 at 12pm. This free event can be streamed here
- City of Toronto - Toronto History Museums is offering free, streamed online events including hip-hop performances from emerging Indigenous freestyle dancers Slim Peanut and River WH. Learn more here
