June is Indigenous History Month. We recognize the First Nation, Inuit, and Métis people who have helped shape the dance community today and celebrate Ontario’s dance artists of Indigenous descent.

– Participate in the National Arts Centre’s Powwow Workout Class – Hoop Dance with Alex Wells on June 17 at 12pm. This free event can be streamed here
– City of Toronto – Toronto History Museums is offering free, streamed online events including hip-hop performances from emerging Indigenous freestyle dancers Slim Peanut and River WH. Learn more here
