COMMUNITY BUILDING FUND – OPERATING STREAM, Ontario Trillium Foundation

This funding stream provides support for non-profits and Indigenous communities in the arts and culture, heritage, tourism, sport and recreation sectors to help sustain their operations and create new attractions, experiences and events.
Grant term length: 6 or 12 months
Amount awarded: Minimum $10,000, Maximum $250,000

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FOR ARTISTS, Canada Council for the Arts
The Professional Development for Artists component of Explore and Create supports the career growth of Canadian artists and artistic groups by encouraging participation in a wide range of development opportunities. Grants fund activities that contribute to the professional advancement of Canadian artists working in all artistic disciplines.
Deadline: June 2, 2021

CHALMERS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROJECT, Ontario Arts Council
The program supports opportunities for Ontario artists at any stage of their career to acquire new artistic skills to advance their arts practice. It funds all contemporary and traditional art practices that are supported at OAC. All learning must be led by an expert and include feedback throughout the training period. Experts include mentors, teachers, trainers, and Elders. Projects may include study, training, mentorship, and/or apprenticeship.

CREATING, KNOWING AND SHARING: THE ARTS AND CULTURES OF FIRST NATIONS, INUIT AND METIS PEOPLES, Canada Council

Short-term: The Short-Term Projects component of Creating, Knowing and Sharing funds First Nations, Inuit and Métis professional and aspiring artists, cultural carriers, arts/cultural professionals, groups, collectives and arts/culture organizations. Grants provide support for any combination of eligible Creating, Knowing and Sharing activities for projects lasting up to 12 months.
Deadline: June 16, 2021
Long-term: The Long-Term Projects component of Creating, Knowing and Sharing funds First Nations, Inuit and Métis professional artists, cultural carriers, arts/cultural professionals, groups, collectives and arts/culture organizations. Grants provide support for any combination of eligible Creating, Knowing and Sharing activities for projects lasting between 1 and 3 years.
Deadline: June 16, 2021

VISUAL ARTS PROJECTS, Ontario Arts Council
The program supports organizations, ad hoc groups/collectives and independent curators to present visual arts projects that exhibit, document or disseminate the work of professional Ontario visual artists and connect them with Ontario audiences, as well as programs that provide professional development for artists.
Deadline: June 17, 2021
