Twenty dancers ages 7-15 from Jade’s Hip Hop Academy (JHHA) helped win 6 World Titles for Canada and several Top 7 place finishes at the UDO World Street Dance Championships in Black Pool England on August 24th-27th.
Dancers competed in Popping, Break Dance and Krump Battles as well as solos, duos, quads and crew competitions in Open, Newcomer, Intermediate and Advanced levels. There were over 190 Crews and 1,300 solos competing in this massive World Championships organized by the United Dance Organization (UDO) held in England each year.
This was the first time Canada was represented at these Championships and JHHA dancers who represent Brampton, Mississauga, Burlington and Toronto did their country proud! JHHA was part of a team of 40 Dancers from Canada who qualified at the UDO Canadian Street Dance Championships back in April. Twenty four year old owner & Artistic Director of JHHA, Jade Jager Clark who since April 2011 has won a Harry Jerome Young Entrepreneur Award, Zonta Young Woman of Achievement Award, Brampton Outstanding Business Achievement Award and was nominated for a Premier’s Award could not be prouder of this latest accomplishment of her students!
